Reverse Engineering

The Reverse Engineering Project required me to choose a product and reverse engineering it. This includes measuring all dimensions of the object, sketching them on Autodesk, and assemble pieces with other members of the group to recreate the product. My group chose a pen.

Constraints
- Groups of only 2-4 students
- Product must be approved by instructor
- Leave product intact until after functional analysis

Sketches

These are some rough orthographic sketches of the product my group chose. They include dimensions of different pieces such as the pen grip and cap.

These were made using Autodesk and include the dimensions from the rough draft
A table was used to show accurate measurements of the spring.

Assembly

This is the final assembled product from Autodesk.
All the parts were compiled from everyone in the group and placed into one drawing.
Everyone had to make sure that the measurements were accurate so they would all fit together perfectly in this drawing.
